On July 16th, 2009 the Bay Pines Flag folding took on a different format. Student volunteers who worked at Bay Pines were instructed by Chapter 14 members on the proper way to fold the American Flag. A Hospice worker further instructed them on proper Flag etiquitte. Sixty Flags were folded and put into plastic holders to be distributed by Hospice to Veterans families when a Military Funeral was not held. Some recipients of a Flag were met unexpectedly and invited to see where the enclosed folded Flags came from. It was said there was not a dry eye in the Cobb Room as the family observed the proceedings. Photos by staff photographer Joe Sheehan. Thanks Joe for another great job.
