Another Eagle Scout Presentation
On Sat. the 30th of May four of Chapter's members were present to see Andrew Mills attain the rank of EAGLE SCOUT at the First Baptist Church in Pinellas Park. Pres. Clarence Dadswell, First Vice Gene Stone, 2nd Vice Everett DeWitt and Sec. Harold Macking witnessed the emotional program. I say emotional because Andrew was Scoutmaster Jeffrey Mills's son. He had gone through sheer hell in his youth unable to talk Etc. With the help of God and dedicated teachers he became the young man we seen today achieve the highest award in Boy Scouts. Gene Stone & Everett Dewitt made the presentations of the medal & certificate.
Representing VFW 4364 but also one of Chapter 14's members was Al DeStefano, who presented Andrew with a Flag flown over the White House and the award from the VFW. Refreshments were served immediately after and a great feeling of joy and satisfaction prevailed at seeing another Eagle Scout in Pinellas County. Photos were by Harold Macking
